What the national regulator says
The National Gambling Board states that online gambling is prohibited except online betting through bookmakers licensed in South Africa. Its enforcement guidance gives sports and horse-racing betting as examples. This publication follows that distinction and does not label offshore licences as South African permission.
Why product descriptions need care
Operators may advertise casino-style products, live games, slots or crash games. A marketing category does not establish a legal classification. Check the exact product, contracting entity, provincial licence and current regulator position. This directory records published product evidence separately from licensing evidence.
